Elektec transform “roarsome” kids corner for East Lancashire Hospice

The manager of East Lancashire Hospice’s charity shop in Darwen contacted Elektec to see if the company could help increase footfall by producing some artwork for the display in the children’s section of the shop.

Elektec are a family run electrical contractors based in Darwen who not only provide electrical services to industrial and commercial sectors throughout the north west, but they also drive a creative corporate social responsibility campaign by commissioning their Finance and Business Communications Manager, Charlotte Knowles, to hand paint artwork and murals within the community.

Adopting a dinosaur theme, Charlotte painted some artwork but, with the help of local businesses and organisations within Blackburn with Darwen, managed to transform the entire “roarsome” children’s section and display within the shop.

Hospice Income Generation Director Sharon Crymble said, “Our Darwen charity chop is a real community hub, so we were absolutely over the moon when Charlotte offered to create a children’s corner.”

Elektec would like to thank the EYFS at St Francis C of E Primary School in Blackburn, Woodchip & Magnolia, Darwen Furniture & Gifts, Holdex Plywood and Herbert Parkinson who all helped by providing materials for the project.
